The International Innovata Intensive (i3) is open to brass players of all levels.  Auditions are required so that participants are placed in ensembles with players of similar levels and abilities.  High school, college, amateur, semi-professional and professional level musicians are encouraged to apply.

 

Musically different from ALL other brass quintets – INNOVATA presents unique, audience friendly music written exclusively for them.  This is topped off with familiar music from Renaissance to Jazz – but NO OTHER GROUP performs their staple repertoire!  Visit our MEDIA (audio) section and listen to a few samples – only from INNOVATA.

There are numerous brass quintets that exist today.  Many are the same in fundamental ways (see the main ABOUT section on the INNOVATA website) – but few have been able to distinguish themselves as truly unique.

At the INTERNATIONAL INNOVATA INTENSIVE – you’ll have an intense week working on the fundamentals and presentation of chamber music performance – but i3 goes beyond the primary focus of ensemble performance!  You’ll also get to learn from the diverse backgrounds that the musicians of INNOVATA possess.  They will coach your rehearsals, present clinics, everyone will receive a private lesson, groups will take part in performance classes, participants will perform at the end of the workshop and to get you fired up – you will get to hear a performance by INNOVATA and our guest artists!

All members of INNOVATA live in the residence halls and eat in the cafeteria with participants.  They are ready to share their experience!  Ask questions and get answers!

The INTERNATIONAL INNOVATA INTENSIVE focuses on traditional brass performance and offers much more for those that want to know!
